Start Her Playing

Making sure girls don’t miss out because of cost

Start Her Playing provides funded access for girls to participate in junior golf programming through Carolina ForeHER.

The ForeHER Foundation removes financial barriers so girls can learn, play, and grow in the same supportive, high-quality environment as their peers. This program is about access, consistency, and opportunity — not labels or limitations.

Support may include partial or full coverage for participation in Carolina ForeHER junior programs, including coaching sessions, workshops, and structured development opportunities. When needed, support may also help with basic equipment or program-related costs, allowing girls to participate fully and consistently without placing additional burden on families.

our Programs

1. Request Access
A parent or guardian completes a short request form sharing interest in junior programming and whether financial support would make participation possible right now. The process is simple and confidential.

2. We Follow Up
Requests are reviewed on a rolling basis. If support is available, our team will reach out with details about eligible programs, next steps, and how access can be applied.

3. She Gets Started
With access in place, your daughter can participate in Carolina ForeHER junior programs alongside her peers — learning the game, building confidence, and staying connected to sport.

Who Is It For?

This program is for families who want their daughter to participate in golf, but feel cost creating a barrier right now. Whether she’s curious about getting started or hoping to continue playing, this program helps ensure access doesn’t depend on financial circumstance.

Research shows that girls who stay involved in sport are more likely to experience positive outcomes in life, school, and community.

Girls who play sports tend to have higher academic achievement, stronger engagement with school, and better attendance. Sport also builds leadership, resilience, and teamwork skills — qualities that support success in careers and community life.

Staying active through sport is linked to better long-term health and wellbeing, and girls who remain connected to sport are more likely to maintain healthy habits into adulthood.

Keep Her Playing helps make sure girls have the opportunity to build these advantages — not just on the course, but in life.
